Just bought a 350, and with no space to spare my best friend of 33 years has to go.
Wasn't looking to sell the ZX or buy another car, but a gem of a 350 came along and I finally caved.
This is one of the best ZXs around, but not a $10,000 show car, not even as good as Jim's 280ZXT. But it hasn't seen rain in over 25 years, has great bodywork and runs beautifully. One of the best colors and nice pin-stripes. Dealer installed removable sunroof that does not leak - ever!
If you are looking for a $1500 rust box, it's not the one for you.
I drove it weekends in the dry, changed the oil 2-3 times a year despite averaging less than 3,000 annually.
The car has 112,000 miles.
Very, very clean interior - no dashboard cracks and far less fading than you would expect because it was always garaged. Could do with a recover job on the front seats. Although passenger seat is perfect, driver's seat has worn fabric, but good base. Same as original covers still available for $299 the pair at Zspecialties.
I have replaced belts, hoses, starter, relays, oil pressure sender, dizzy cap and wires, ignition switch and lock, ignition module, pads, clutch master and slave cylinders, brake cable, water pump and a few other bits. Put grease nipples in the half shafts and kept them well lubricated. Gearbox and diff oil changed on time. Tires good, battery less than 1 year old.
Gets comments every time out. Drove to Ross Williams down I-95 and someone pulled alongside to take photos as I was driving in the middle lane.
