Hi Folks,

Happy New Year to everyone. We have a 73' complete engine and flywheel that came with our parts car. It was dry stored for the past 15 years or so and we took just a few little parts off it. It has the original (wonderful - just kidding) carbs and air cleaner. Engine ran fine when removed from car according to former, original owner who removed it when he stripped the car to part it out. It supposedly has about 80,000 miles on it. Have several other parts that we may consider parting with - send me your wish list.

We need to make room so make an offer and bring your engine hoist.

Marc_A is looking for a window regulator, and I might be interested in the lock set, if you have all the keys.

Hi Frank,

I'll have to look into the locks and keys - not sure if we have them. As for the window regulator, not being familiar with these parts, I presume they are interchangeable for either door? If so, we would be willing to part with one leaving us a spare. They are like new and would think that $50 might be a reasonable price. Please pass along info to Marc and he can contact me directly at robin.raf@gmail.com. I can take other pictures for him.

Robin

OK Robin, thnx.

The window regulators are interchangable among the early year cars, but not btwn doors, of course. I recall Marc needed a driver's side unit. I donated an old one to his cause but we're waiting to learn if it works or not. If not he would remain in the market for a good one.

Let me know abt the locks/keys when you know.

And WHAT THE HECK COLOR WAS THAT CAR, anyway??? Lime green with an orange interior???

Frank,

This was the lighter (Olive Drab by some) color standard for 72's and 73's. it was a metallic green that looked quite nice when new and in the sun. The "butterscotch" interior was also the standard matching color.

My first Z car was right out of the showroom in this color in 72. If my memory is correct it was only $3,671 off the floor!! I hope we can get Colin's 72 of the same color restored to the level of the 70' red we have. With this economy however, afraid things will have to wait a while.

Robin
