the brake light switches are readily available at rockauto.com for about 7 or 8 bucks. I don't know about the clutch switch.

We learned that the 1984 clutch switch is weird ~ don't know about the '83 switch. The '84 switch has to 'tell' the ignition that the clutch is depressed to the floor, or the car won't start. It's probably a kiddie safety device so your 6 yr old can't start your Z and brighten everyone's day in your neighborhood.

The 1984 Club partz car clutch was rusted in the 'up' position, which should have caused the car not to start. But somehow the switch got confused and believed the pedal was in the 'down' position, which allowed us to start the car.

Weird.
