This is a 1984 300ZX 5spd Naturally-Aspirated Ttop. The engine runs and sounds OK, the body is shot. The lights, antenna, power windows, radio, etc all seem to work. All 4 wheels & tires are back on the car since these photos.

I had intended to part this car out to help fund the Club Kitty, but time has overtaken those plans. I hate to see the car go to waste, so whoever donates the first $100 to the Club can tow it away. Clear title included.
Car is in Norwalk CT.

Contact Frank@CTZCC.Com or PM me on this website. Time is the enemy ~ the car must be moved off private property this month.

This offer is limited to REGISTERED CTZCC MEMBERS ONLY.

Frank, is it a coupe ? I always have $100, just no place to store it. There has to be over $100 in useful parts on her. :?

I feel the wheels alone are probably worth $100, but I don't have time to pull the car out of there and strip it down like I did for the 1971 partz car. Whoever takes this will have to help me get it off the residential property and my access to a trailer is now limited (my buddy races and he's doing well this year).

Back end of the car is heavily rusted, about up to the doors, in the usual "splash" pattern. The rest appears fairly solid, altho I heard some crunching when I jacked it up to put the wheels back on.

I'm pretty confident it has seen its final road miles, and should only be considered for partz.

LAST CALL ON THIS CAR.

The property owner wants it out of his yard not later than Monday morning. If it isn't gone by Sunday night, it's being junked.

I'm so poor! If I didn't owe Airjockie I'd grab it. Let me contact a fellow Ct Z31 owner and see if he can pick it up by t Monday.

Buy now, pay later. :?

I just want it to go to a Club member who can use it, so the car doesn't get crushed and the Club eventually gets $100 for it.

Vag, Frank....

If you guys can get the car towed somewhere, I'll help to reimburse and pull any marketable parts with proceeds for the club. I just don't have the space. Going on vacation tomorrow, let me know. Be back next Thurs. Think teamwork. :D

Very last minute decision, but it's in my yard now. What a fun day It was. I wasn't even shure my 4cyl truck with 162 miles would even pull it, so it was chance I couldn't refused. She did 55 all the way, some hills took me down to 45, but did it. :D So come get some cheap parts folks, and also help benifit the club. :D

Well hopefully by now you've hooked the ignition back up and have heard it run. It sounded pretty good the two times I fired it up. I'll be interested in hearing what you learn about the clutch pedal, which refused to depress.

Thanks for doing this, Paul ~ the car was headed for the crusher if we didn't get it out of there. Now it can be a partz source for the REGISTERED members of this Club.

And I don't know why you doubted your little truck's ability to haul that ZX home ~ it's a Nissan!

Paul really went out of his way and sweat a lot to make this idea work. Every step was a bit of a chore but he worked it all out, even taking time to pull the rear discs off to reduce drag on the way home. Well done, Paul  LET'S HEAR A ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR ONE OF OUR CLUB's MASTER MECHANICS, who is willing to go FAR out of his way to support the Members of the CTZCC!

Frank

Hey Paul,
Thanks so much for doing this. I think I speak on behalf of everyone on this board when I say that no Z should ever go to the crusher! From what I can tell, there will be lots of salvageable parts from this car - maybe even some relatively new ones that got installed by the PO but never really used much.

To have another parts car benefiting the club is a home run. Thanks for your eforts and thanks to FRANK for his efforts to make this happen.

Great job guys!!!

Ross

Salvage Director, hahahaha. Thanks guys, and yes I'm dedicated to the Z, and the club as well. I already drove it down my dead end street, very carefully in first. I might get to look at the clutch pedal today, but the wife is having a corporate party here, so I might have to entertain. Well, if no-one cares, I could use this engine for my 88, since it is all complete, and just stab it in. (new timing belt, water pump, and tension pully for shure, and paint it purty.) This means I have a good set of heads already off an engine I was going to use. Passed the leakdown test, all 6 were around 95%, which is darn good. Also have a good block. I just want to get my 88 on the road with the least amount of work. I can't do much this week, getting ready to go on a cruise to Canada Sat. then it's back to work. uuugggg.
