Thought it might be useful to start a Thread on parts sources. I found these listed in Hemmings. Feel free to add your own list to this Thread.

I've decided to make this a Sticky Post, so it's readily handy for everyone looking for Z parts, or who wants to add a new source.

BLACK DRAGON AUTOMOTIVE: www.BlackDragonAuto.com

Z CAR SOURCE of Arizona: www.ZCarSource.Com

Datsun Roadster Parts: www.RisingSunRacing.Com

Datsun Automotive manuals and literature: Faxon's, 800-458-2734

and
www.Books4Cars.com (WA)

240Z-280ZX frame & floorboard repair kits: wwwAutoRust.com (RI)

Parting out Z cars: Danny'sDatsuns: Dannye@Mcsi.Net
and:
SmittyBuiltRacing: 724-348-5585 (PA)

Z Car V8 Conversions: www.Johnscars.com/www.BrokenKitty.Com

Add your own here ~ help your Z buddies find what they need.

Since there have been so many new members since we posted this last year, I felt it would be handy to bump it back into the mainstream to bring peoples' attention to it again. (I know somebody was recently asking if anyone still made complete floor pans for the early Zs ~ Irv Rich, maybe? There's one company listed above).

If you know of any other good Z partz sources which aren't already listed, pleaZe add them here.

Thanks!
Frank

Another great idea, Frank.

Here's a few I've used in the rebuild process, all are highly recommended:

Seatz Mfg. for seats, carpets, diamond cloth, other vinyl - http://www.seatzmfg.com/seatz/index.htm

Zbarn for used parts - http://www.zbarn.com/index.html

Banzai Motorworks for restoration parts - http://www.zzxdatsun.com/

Charlie Osborne of Z Findings is a good source for reproduction floors for all early model Z's. I used them in my 280zxt back in 2001. Rumors have it that Charlie manufactures these for Motorsports USA.

Floorboards in particular......

Two more great sources for manuals:

www.CarManuals.Com

and

Walter Miller's great "library", www.AutoLit.com

Walter is accused of having every manual for every car ever built since 1900. That's a pretty challenging claim, but I haven't yet met anyone who came away empty handed.

www.thezstore.com - Resto and performance resto parts

www.modernmotorsports.com - Good performance stuff, mostly brake conversions, hub conversions, differential conversions.

www.arizonazcar.com - Performance oriented suspension and brake systems.

www.Kameariusa.com - If you need top quality parts for your L6 that will make your wallet commit suicide.

www.ebay.com - self explanatory.

We have enough new members since I posted this, to merit revisiting this subject. Maybe some of our newer Z brothers can add more sources to this list?

Thanks!
Frank

Don't forget our friends at RDZ MOTORSPORTS. I've order some Suspension parts for my Z32 from Rich and he also gave me tips for my self-install which helped alot.
