Is this thing legit? What's the story behind these? Isn't Ross' 350Z a BSR GT-33 edition as well?

Now I'm curious... somebody, please share the story!

It looks legit alright...

Bob Sharp put out a few of these gt-33 280Zs in the late 70s...not sure how many though....I would assume there are only a few left. Bob would know best (=

I remember when I was a kid in the late 80s, my sister's boyfriend at the time had a blue and white gt-33...I'm guessing it was a '77 280z. I just remember his had some serious motor work done, and had triple mikunis...very quick. It had hand-painted lettering on the hood and rear hatch...similar to this one, but a much better color combo. I would love to find it, if it isn't rusted away to nothing...or more likely wrapped around a tree...he lived somewhere in New Fairfield...

Cheers,
Colin

Nice find!! The interior seems to be in great shape!! I like the paint scheme.....sans rust of course. One of these showed up at one of the Bob Sharp Z club shows several years ago. I young kid had driven it half way across the country to come to the show. He and Bob spoke at length about his car. If I remember right, it had a Bob Sharp valve cover . His was a cream color with gold accents...

Great find! I've only seen one of these cars in person, which was at a show in 2001. Bob did these cars up in the 70's as special editions being sold by his Wilton dealership. I'll have to ask him how many were made. The car I saw in person had a similar paint job and velour door panels and seats. As I think everyone knows, he decided to do it again during 2008, with only three cars being produced due to a very soft market (understatement). Thanks for finding this car Mike! Ross

Thanks for all of the replies! These are pretty interesting cars. Its a shame the 350Z BSR edition didn't take off, though I suppose that makes the three models in the wild that much more special.
