A wile back I mentioned getting a 83 n/a for parts when the snow melted. Well It's here and half apart already. So along with my 79 with good chassis, I have enough to put one together. Lots of good interior, (black mostly minor grey,) choice of aluminum rims, F54 block, choice of heads, 82 computer and harness, 82 tranni., R-200 3.90, and whatever else is needed. Good worthwhile project car. I'll just stick to the 3 Z's I have now and finish them, so I hate seeing this sitting there when some one else could be enjoying it. 79, first year of the ZX, and also has the auto window feature, and fully loaded, and the 82 driveline, all for $1,500. I'll even throw in a 3 piece rear wing and the original 82 zx radio.

Hi Paul,

Does the car have the speech option? Have been looking for a working voice module out of a ZX, any year.

Tim,

Bitchin' Betty was not implemented until the 1982 model year. I'd love to have one in my 1981 280zxt, but it appears that it would require a great deal of work to make it work. Someone on Zcar.com was retrofitting one last year but I'm not sure they ever got it to work.

I just saw one listed for $10 in a Hybridz post where someone was parting a zx out. I'll look for the post this evening. I also see them on Ebay ever once in a while.

Phil

Yea, that's a 79, but the 82 I just torn down to the skeleton has everything you need. I save everything. So got the voice box, wire harness, sensors. I'll take a pic of the wing when I find it. So now this car is going to the school, now that the kids had practice, and with all my left over parts, we a gona build a Z car.

Ha - I love these 'spirited' exchanges.

Thanks Paul, actually Bitchin' Betty (what a great name BTW) is going into the 240Z racer - so the output will just go to an aftermarket sound system consisting of a small amp & a speaker or two.

Why,.... does it get lonely racing? Well that's different. Well, I got the little bitch in the box if you ever need it. 8) Some day I'd like to get one that speaks French. Japanes would be cool too. Then the new updated one, Geto talk, to help you get out of those ruff neighbor hoods after making a wrong turn.
