In an era when people are scouring the world for these cars, it makes me happy to be able to announce the availability of a 99%-complete Sept70 240Z.

A personal friend of Rick Morgan's is reluctantly selling his Sep70 240Z, VIN# HLS30-10562, L24 engine #014072. The car was in complete and operational condition when a disassembly was begun for a total restoration, which got interrupted. That affords us a good photo expose of the "usual suspect" areas of the car, which show remarkably little rust (surface rust only, no apparent rust-thru). This appears to be a solid car which will require only minimal cosmetic effort to restore.

Color is orange over black interior. Original steel wheels with "D" hubcaps come with the car, which currently rolls on aftermarket spoke wheels. Engine turns over by hand, is complete, and still in the car. All stock interior, including original solid blank steering wheel and stock AM radio. Solid floors and frame rails.

I understand the car needs a better dashboard (or a dash cap), and both tail lights, altho the rest of the rear lamp surrounds appear to be all there. This worthy car has a head start on a total restoration, but has lost momentum and now finds itself with nobody near it capable of automotive work. It's a roller at present and can be easily transported from its current Appalachian state on a flatbed or towed trailer. Entertaining bids above $7.

I know a picture is worth a thousand words but the photo display I received is in printed form and I lack the capability of transferring them into computer format.

Thanks Frank!

I looked at a Z up here in MA the other day … but it had a bit of rust and a lot of unknowns… that wasn’t the car for me, but I’ve got the Z bug now!! I don’t have paint/body work experience… but I can for sure mechanically rebuild a car.

Wonderful! We've all been quietly praying you'd eventually shine your attention onto a nice 240 or 260

Rick will contact the owner and ask if the car is still available.

Waz it the Lime Rock adventure that pushed you over the edge?

Lime Rock definitely played a role!

I think its really the siren song of an inline six with 45mm side drafts singing at 7,000 RPM!

Definitely going to need more garage space!
