I recently contacted our Z friend and Z-Guru, Carl Beck about the suspected fuel pump issues that I have been having. He has responded to me today and contacted GMB directly, but also included the following link which included other Z owner posts with issues all too similar to mine.

Hopefully, the end result will be that somebody provides a fix on these pumps that will give us reliable mechanical fuel pump operation!

Just a thought....but have you checked the floats in the Carbs? They can get a pin hole in them, fill up, slowly drain, work and repeat, ect. and just one will stall the car.
