1991 Z32 N/A

Does anyone know if you have to grind the plenum at the #1 cylinder when you install the conversion kit changing the fuel injectors from the early style to new style if you remove the top of the plenum?

I know if you want to replace the injectors without removing the plenum you have to grind it to install the #1 new style injector but does that apply if you remove it?

I have the Z1 conversion kit w/ new injectors as well as new gaskets for the balance tube.

Thanks

Hi Chris,

My name is Rich from RDZ Motorsports

This conversion is NOT a level 1 install. THe Z32 is as complicated a car as they come and has a long list of classic car issues.

That being said to answer your question in order to do the conversion it is 100% necessary to remove the plenum to complete this service.

The area of the #1 injector must be ground to allow for the new injector style and to allow the connector to be plugged in.
