I just bought some injectors for my 75 280z on rockauto. The size is the same but the nozzle design is completely differnt. I was wondering if anyone ran into this before. I'll try and post pictures this afternoon.

If they are dimensionally the same and have the same pulse/flow rates then I'd go ahead and use them.
I like metal better than plastic anytime.

They are a newer and improved version of the classic pintle type...I believe they are called disc-type. I have used them before in replacements and have no issues to report.

If you had the plastic cap on the old injector it would seem more the same. I can't see the pintle on the new one......but if you look in the cap, is there a pin like the other? Pintles can be pin or disc, and as long as they are all the same, that wouldn't matter to much.

Just as a heads up, the injectors have been working fine but apparently they have a tendency to have chunks of rubber in them. The barbs are so sharp that when they fit the rubber fuel line to the injector the barbs cut pieces off the inner sidewall. So check them before installing!
