What is the best oil to use for the tranny and diff ? Also how many quarts does it take. I was told that I could use royal purple max 75/90 for both. |

True, you can use the same weight gear oil in both. You want to make sure it's GL4 compatabile. Certain GL5 oils can corrode non-ferrous metals in the transmission. The diff doesn't have any so it's not an issue. If you have a limited slip diff however you need to add an anti chatter additive along with the oil. I used Lucas synthetic which is good for 4 and 5. http://lucasoil.com/products/gear-oil/s ... c-gear-oil |

I've used redline MT90 in my stock 280z Trans and diff. Has worked well over the past few months. It was what I found most recommended throughout the Internet for our cars |
