What is the best oil to use for the tranny and diff ? Also how many quarts does it take.

I was told that I could use royal purple max 75/90 for both.

True, you can use the same weight gear oil in both.
You want to make sure it's GL4 compatabile.
Certain GL5 oils can corrode non-ferrous metals in the transmission.
The diff doesn't have any so it's not an issue.
If you have a limited slip diff however you need to add an anti chatter additive along with the oil.
I used Lucas synthetic which is good for 4 and 5.

There weren't any stock LSD's until many years later so you don't have one.

I've used redline MT90 in my stock 280z Trans and diff. Has worked well over the past few months. It was what I found most recommended throughout the Internet for our cars
