I'm kind of a techie and am looking for ways to substantiate folks' claims of performance improvements around certain hardware upgrades. For turbocharged Zs recognizing flow improvements are critical to reliably getting the power out of the engine. Anybody else around here interested in this kind of stuff?

Hi T-Z,

I share a similar interest but don't know of any local flow benches. Not sure if Coleman Machine down in Stratford CT does their heads or not - I believe they farm them out.

Actually, there are a lot of old school racing related services that are hard to find these days such as shock tuning, tire shaving, cam grinding, or even just reliable engine machine shops. It would be cool to network & share experiences.

My Z is a 240 vintage racer, at the moment I don't have any short term development plans for her. But flow in a NA motor is just as critical if not more.

Tim

I bought a tricked-out E88 head from Vinny Bedini who had it cc'd, 'fluxed and flowed. If he told me who did the work, I forgot. You could call him at the shop and ask him for a referral. He's been building Datsun race engines for more than 40 years, and some of his engines still hold unbeaten class records after all these years. If there's anybody out there who is trustworthy, Vinny's sure to know them. He's also our brother CTZCC Clubmember.
