Post subject:  Weber DCOE tuning tip

Here's a great tuning tip from Pierce Manifolds for people with triple Weber DCOE's (model 151). They recommend this specifically for Zcars with triples.

-When setting idle don't use the idle speed screws...instead back them out as far as possible so the butterflies are closed.
-Take the cover off the progression holes on each carb and with a strong flashlight double-check to make sure that the butterflies are all equally set. You might have to slightly adjust them to match.
-Then use the idle bleed screws in each barrel to set the idle. I like mine at 1000.

The effect on my car was to completely erase any off idle stumble...it was very dramatic...the car drives as smoothly as with SUs now and actually feels more powerful. :D
