Finally started working on my '74 260Z. Fuel tank had a leak, tank is almost out. Anyone have suggestions regarding replacement or refurbishment. Prefer something local to Ct. Searched on-line, only came-up with a place in mid-west that refurbishes fuel tanks. Appreciate any help.
Thanks - Harry

Call our member Vinny Bedini at Bedini Motorsports. He has pulled and repaired more than a few tanks in his day (including mine). 860.355.182 nine in New Milford.

Be careful how you pull the tank off. There are 5 (or 30  ) hoses attached to it, some at the very top, which are hard to reach. If you break them they are hard to replace.

Did I hear you discussing this at our meeting tonight? Somebody was saying the same thing as I walked past them.

Frank

Frank, I bet that was Mike talking about his fuel tank. He is looking for the exact same solution.

Thanks Frank, I'll give Vinny a buzz. I was at last night meeting & talked to Brian Little, I'm sure the gas tank came up in the conversation.

same issue. i was told to contact John i think at bad dog parts. Bill told me he might have a refurbished tank. i may just try to have mine boiled and reline it myself. i guess it really depends on how much you wanna spend.

John at Bad Dog is our devoted member too. Be sure to tell him you're with us. He tends to take pity on us from time to time.

Called Vinny he suggested Zcarsource; contacted them, no dice. Checked Bad Dog's web site; didn't show anything for a 74. Sent an e-mail request through the site, never got a reply. Someone I know who deals in vintage auto's suggested A II radiator in Bridgeport. They did some work for me about 30 years ago on a tractor & I had no problems; didn't know they were still in business. Brought them the tank yesterday; said they think they'll be able to help, he'll call Monday with the skinny. Hoping it's Ok.
