HELP ! I need the shock absorber dimensions and type of end,(straight threaded, eye type, etc). With this info, a Bilstein tech guy might be able to find a generic set for a 240 Z for me.
Thanks in advance.

Bilstein used to make them for 240Zs, I would think he should have the tech specs lying around somewhere.

Thanks , Bryan. For some reason their tech guy that I talked to, didn't have them.
Do you know of a source for the old Toyota 4 wd p/u front dual piston calipers ? I can't find them anywhere. The las pair I bøught at a junk yard on "car Parts" a few years back.

Here's what I got so far ~ I haven't found the rear Chapman struts yet, but I found the front McPhersons today.

These are two new-in-the-box replacement McPherson front struts for 240Z, McPherson part number 108007, and "027720" below that. They are made in Japan.

1. The overall length of the entire strut is 22" OAL;

2. The blue tube is 16.5" OAL, including the retaining nut on top, and 1.73" (44mm) diameter;

3. The chrome piston shaft is 5-1/2" OAL, in 3 diameter steps:
- the 3.5" long step is 23mm diameter;
- the 1" long step is 20mm;
- the 1" long threaded step is 1/2" diameter with a One-Quarter-cut flat chord on one side, 15 threads in 3/4" (=20 threads/inch);

4. The end cup is 1" diameter and unremarkable.

I took a lot of pictures but I'm having a frustrating time trying to show them here. ARRRRRGGGHHH!!!!! Maybe more tmrw.

My math didn't add up. I was really tired and distracted when I did this late last night. Changed a number this morning after sleep. :oops:
