I'm swapping engines, 240 to 280zx turbo. Does anyone have any idea on where to get information on how to hook up wire harness for the computer and fuel injection to the 240z harness. Thanks

Ah, clarification.

The carbed Z's have no engine "harness", so you'd need the whole EFI harness from the donor ZX and all the bits that came connected to it which don't exist on the 240z. From there it's relatively simple process of connecting a few electrical wires from the ZX EFI harness to keyed "hot" sources.

Were it up to me, I'd also pull the entire ignition system out of the ZX as well, since the 240z engine ignition system is terrible by comparison. Actually, if memory serves me right you may NEED to use the ignition harness as well, since the EFI brain box gets a signal from the ignition system (though a wire from coil (-) may suffice).

You will also need an EFI fuel pump, also from the ZX if you can, because a low pressure fuel pump for carbs is insufficient and the mechanical pump on the L24 engine certainly won't cut it.

Your answer in greater detail is found on Hybridz.org. Don't ask this same question on the board, your head will likely be torn off or at best your question quickly shuffled to the dust bin (tool shed). Just search and you will find it. This is probably one of the most frequently asked questions on that board, and as such many detailed writeups already exist.

And didn't you also want to install a turbo with that?
