What's up fellow Z'ers?

I've posted before, but I'll try again. Are there any guys out there that know their Z's? Preferably Z32's.......

I need clutch related work done and haven't found a local shop that has seen Z's (and I'm not going to RDZ).

If you have: a garage (lift would be great), some tools and some Z knowledge then we can do this in 1/2 day.

I have a new clutch, flywheel, downpipes & testpipes.... Need to get this sucker back on the road for the nice weather coming!!!!

Thankz

We're trying desperately to find a place to change the clutch on this Z car without breaking anybody's bank. It can't be worked on where it lives, and we probably only need a day under the car if all goes well. Several of us have asked around and are not getting answers back (or are getting negatives) and all we want to do is help a fellow Z driver get his car back on the road.

Please, if anyone has (or knows of) a lift, or a drive-on ramp, or a drive-over pit (do they still have those?) or even an open-center trailer where we could do our own work without having to sell our firstborn kids, sound off?

Thanks, all ~
Frank

Those who read this:

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to do this for FREE.

I'm willing to pay anyone who knows the Z platform. I'm more in it to be there, help out, and learn something as well as feel the satisfaction when my car is fixed.

Thanks Frank!

I don't know of any one off hand but I will ask around. I know I have a couple of ramps if you want to use those.

Thanks for the help!

I do have ramps, jack stands, etc. I just don't have all the know-how for a clutch install, even though I've had several people tell me how easy it is.

If it's so easy why doesn't someone come do it? :P

Well that's fine with me. Do you own a Z?
I'm sure you'd install it correctly, and there's plenty of info "out there" to button up the install.

Let me know if you're ready and willing.

Never heard of this place before.

I did see that on CL a couple weeks ago.
I replied to the ad with an email.
The guy called me back from a restricted number, and wouldn't tell me what town the garage was in. He stated he was in "central CT" and wouldn't give me any details.
It sounded like a "shady" CL ad, once again, but if it's true I'd have to get my car towed, plus garage fees, which would turn out being the same as paying a local garage to do the work.
It seems like an option, but not a great one.

What do ya'll think?!?!!

If I were you, I'd set up an appt ( use another name if need be) get the address and pass by after work to see if the place seems legit.

Good suggestion, I'm just cautious these days with all these "clever" people out there. Tough times bring desperate measures, ha ha
