OK, bad news. Talked to my friend and he no longer allows people to use his lift due to an unfortunate experience (and pending lawsuit) he had with the last guy he did a favor for. So that's out.

You can PM me or email me (Frank"at" CTZCC.com) and we'll discuss what else we can do with this. Too bad you couldn't make the meeting last night ~ we had some pretty hot 300 turbo cars and guys who really knew what they were doing with them.

Ah that stinks.

Thanks for checking with him though.

I have something in the "works" for getting her fixed, hopefully I'll have it torn apart by the end of the weekend with the CORRECT prognosis.

Wish I could have made it too! When's the next meet?

2nd Wednesday of every month, during the Z season.

We wander around the state, so all of our members can get a chance to attend a meeting 'close to home'. Weekday nights are tough for some folks to drive far (work or school the next day). But if we held the meetings on weekends, people would have to chooZe btwn us and a race or a Z event.

It works better this way.

Here's how it works: http://forums.ctzcc.com/viewtopic.php?t=7448

I took a ride today and met 300ZMang in person. Real nice guy and loves his Z like it was a family member. Poor car needs help but there's no place nearby to work on it. I agreed to try to find some places where we could get it up onto a lift and safely drop the exhaust, driveshaft and gearbox to find out what's happened to his clutch.
If anyone has (or knows of) an available lift where a bunch of Z-heads could get together for some DIY clutch replacement, please sound-off. Some very weird sounds coming from the clutch area when the pedal is depressed.
Would like to help this Z driver so he can get some use out of his 300zx this summer.

Frank

Really hoping someone comes up with a lift or, as an alternative, a TRAILER with an open center. A trailer would allow us to tow the car to a safe place and scoot under the car and drop the driveline. That would let us move the car around if needed and let it stay 'in the air' safely as long as we needed.

Still no change on my end over the weekend Frank.

Not sure how this is going to pan out, but I've been calling other places in the area and am getting redonkulous quotes. I keep telling myself to jack her up and just start disassembling it on my own, which might be the only/best option at this point.

Not going to sell the Z and DEF not going to pay some fool $1,200-1,500 to do it.

Hope you had a great Holiday!
