Not sure where this item should go....does anyone know who this is? The photo looks like the Lowes on Foxon Blvd off I-91.

Well, this is exactly where this post should go, or in FOR SALE if you wanted to zee it parked beside yours at the next meeting.

I'm completely unfamiliar with this car, altho I get into New Haven often and shop at that Lowes occasionally.

I can't picture a 280 body and frame rails handling the torque of a 505hp V8 for very long.....nice to see a carbureted V8 tho.

Those rims gotta go. A car that nice with a V8 in it needs a much different set of wheels. I think like a set of cobra style wheels might look very nice.

I agree ......... wheels need to go on a Navigator or something.

Speaking of V8 Z's, I'm anxiously waiting for my new sbc 355 to arrive later this week. I've decided not to do any work on the 305. Instead, I contracted for a reman. crate engine to be built to my specs. This will be the last drivetrane mod. (that's what they all say). Anyway, I spec'd it to be a "little" loby/ but streatable comfortably. I wanted to go from the current 5200 red line on up to 6500 capability. I'll be putting on ceramic coated headers and trying to get the connector point higher to minimize the hitting raised manhole covers. Engine will run in the 5500 to6500 range depending on exhaust and carb. combo. I'm going to try my current edelbrock 650 to see what it does. The 305 just ran out of breath above 4800 (cam/lift) and I just can't stand these low shift points. I expect to be in the mid 300 range with 390/400 tq. Anyway, I designed it to be much more aesthetically matched to the black/chrome theme of the car ......... guess what, it's all black and chrome. Anyway, hoping to getting the swap started this weekend / next week so I'm getting excited.
I'll post some pix and progress. Just thought I'd chime in.
Best to all ....... Jack Durand
