Will be shortly installing triple Webers on my 260z, and will need the linkage that goes from the original stock linkage on firewall to the linkage on the intake manifold. I do have the linkage on the manifold and obviously the stock linkage on the firewall, but need the connection between those two. essentially another linkage system that lines up with the manifold linkage and is to be bolted onto firewall. Can these be bought somewhere?

Not sure which piece you mean but the best source for Weber parts in the US is Pierce Manifolds in California. I'm sure they ship to France.

I have heard that the Lokar company makes a cable adapter that is far superior to the factory linkage, for Z Weber conversions.

You might want to contact them. If you are spending money on linkage parts, you might as well get the best.

:D Good luck and show us the finished product.

I got that Lokar kit and it was easy to install as far as fixing it to the pedal and firewall. I'll get the head back soon (finally..) and will be able to start assembling everything. will have to fabricate a bracket to fix the other end of the cable - thinking of doing this from a L-profile aluminum.

Remember to mount the Webers "loosely" ~ in other words, with a slight flex in their mounts. If you torque them down so they're immovable, they never work right due to engine vibrations.

thanks Frank! that was going to be my next question as I have those flexible mounting things and was wondering how tight or loose they should be tightened.

imagine: last time I drove her was october.. i was way too optimistic last winter about the amount of time I had in my hands to complete all the stuff I wanted to do before this season. and I've already missed a few months of driving pleasure.. getting very inpatient now.. :)

Frank, is there a method for setting up Webers just to get some kind of a rough base tuning, in order to initially fire up the engine? This is in fact the first time I've disassembled carburetors, cleaned them and re-assembled them, so having done that, they are completely out of tune. I may get the head back tomorrow or monday and would like to have an idea of how to set the carbs so that I could safely start the engine and form there on proceed with real tuning.. any tips are welcome :)

fantastic! thanks Frank! of course I have read those before but forgotten about them - never done that before. it seems quite straight forward but sure won't be all singing and dancing. in fact I still have to make a bracket to fix the cable to the carbs. anyway, can't wait to start assembling the whole thing.. :)
