Then again, how hard is it to mess up a bundle of braided metal wire? I may grab one of those yet.

The way I see it, is that the model-specific ones are super expensive because, well, they're specific. Given that this one fits all probably drops the price a bit.

But like you said, how hard is it to mess up 10 gauge wire.

20 Seconds.

For 20 seconds she ran. Like absolute crap, but still.

The ECU fixed the fuel issue. The previous owner had the spark plug wires on the wrong points/in the wrong order on the distributor.

I think she tweaked the timing as well.

I retreated for today, but I will return to battle soon, timing gun and the proper tools in hand.

I WILL HAVE VICTORY!

ps. the backfire she let out after I plugged the ECU in shook the car, and the house connected to the barn its in. bwahahahahahaha

Well, there goes THAT muffler!

Well hey, at least you know you have compression, fuel mixture and spark. All you need now is timing. Do you know the proper procedure for setting that up? It's pretty simple, but important.

Frank

Oddly enough, that is one of the few things I remember from the last Z lol

I did the timing chain on the last engine, so it stuck with me. Which is weird, because my memory is TERRIBLE.

Yeah, but they've been fixed by The WiZard. I know ~ I was there and saw it with my own eyes. Just by laying his hands on your Z, it was cured.

Lol that's awesome.

Also, adding the VIN of my last Z to my sig, just in case anyone keeps track of deceased Zs.

Well, I think I'm screwed.

I think the dizzy is 180 out, but I ran out of time on Saturday.

It has to be out by Friday, and I have zero time to work on it this week.

FML.

Is there anything I can do to help? :( If it's just the dizzy being 180 out, it would suck to have to give up now.

The car has been moved to a better location, and I will be hopefully working on it again soon.

Here's some better pics of her after we unloaded her from the trailer:

Oh and I double checked underneath, and the "framerails" are actually clean.
Whoa.

Wow! Looks great for the money. I'm jealous. It looks to be in much better shape than mine for 500 bucks.
