Actually....400$ hehehehe

The best part is that it was on Craigslist for almost a year for 1k, and one day I got bored, clicked the link again and the price was dropped to 400$.

The girl who owned it had broken up with the Guy who's house it was at and she told him just to sell it. Needless to say, after a year he wanted it gone, and I was beyond happy to oblige. :)

In other news, the HKS grounding kit arrived.

And Frank I have a spare set of wheels you might recognize, ill post pics later.

Timing is set.

Car will not run with out feathering the gas, and it runs like absolute CRAP, almost like its got a baaaaaad misfire.

Smokes alot.

Also, here's the weirdest thing.....

Spark plugs for cyl1 and cyl2 are dry. But the plugs for 3,4,5,6 are SOAKED with gas.

I am befuddled, baffled, and confused.

The injectors were replaced by the previous owner who also was trying to get the car running, so I'm going to have to cross reference the part numbers (if there is one on them) to make sure those are correct.

ARGH. Just shoot me now.

Nope. Nobody gets shot in this Club. We all just help you get the beast running, then you feel MUCH better.

Sounds like you may be actually running on only 2 or 3 cylinders. Those wet plugs aren't firing. That's what sounds so weird and leaves raw fuel on the sparkies.

Now you have to figure out WHY those 3 or 4 plugs aren't sparking.

Awright, here goes the guy who can do a great job of running a partZ
department or service department, but whom you wouldn't want within
15' of your car when the hood is open:

Could it be something with the computer telling some plugs to fire, but
not others? Such as mice having feasted on some wires? Or some-
thing internal to the computer itself? Or excessive resistance in some
wires but not others?

Well, that's WONDERFUL (I think), because the implication is that the
problem magically went away by itself. Or did it run, but
continue to rumble and stumble as before? :? I'm thinking along the
lines of clogged injectors or stale fuel.........Even condensation droplets
in the fuel line (water droplets, being heavier, will sink to the bottom
of the tank and be among the earliest in the flow the fuel pump sucks
out)......... You did say it had sat for a year or better...... A Z doesn't
have a fuel/water separator like a Diesel engine, that I know of......

FWIW, ~Rick~

Well it was funny because my friend who owns the shop its sitting at texted me the night before, "Hey man, I dunno, I can't figure it out....you sure you don't want to sell it?"

I walked into his shop last night and he grinned and said "hey go give it a shot for the heck of it"

It fired right up.

She still has a slight stumble, and doesn't feel like she has alot of..."oomph" so to speak, but I'm sure there are alot of vacuum leaks to button up, and the intake boots are torn and such.

He doesn't remember exactly what he did, he just keeps telling me he did a bunch of stuff lol

ONWARD AND UPWARD I SAY!
