One of the most knowledgeable and prolific members of zcar.com (tonyD) is a big proponent of that system and of just about any Megasquirt-based EFI modifications to L-series motors. I'm working on megasquirt-based efi and coil-on-plug spark control for my car but I will be using a single plenum and throttle body on a home-made intake manifold instead of six separate ones. You need a very highly modified motor to justify the expense of the extrudabody system, and the primary advantage of it over a good single plenum design is throttle response; the horsepower gains are negligible. They look fabulous though; really the only EFI system that looks as awesome as triple sidedrafts. If megasquirt engine management systems are too much for you there are other, easier-to-use, aftermarket EFI systems you can get but not for less than 1000 bucks. You have to have them; the stock EFI computer will not work with the extrudabody system. Throw in a new pump and regulator and all the other stuff and you probably be lucky to come in under 3 grand for the whole setup.....but it DOES look fabulous!

It's a great system, depending on your application. I'd say better for a built NA than forced induction. $1400 isn't bad at all considering it's a completely custom engineered piece. Compare that to how much you'd spend on a full triple mikuni setup.

They make nice stuff. That's how you get excellent throttle response and move a lot of air through your engine. They contacted me for help with making a promo test video for their website a few years ago. Nice guys.
