Doing the clutch on my 300zx tt. I got the JWT heavy duty clutch package with the 13 lb flywheel to support any future power upgrades. I've got the exhaust off and I thought I might start with a catback upgrade. I'd like to keep the noise to a minimum but still increase flow. I already ordered the Stillen high flow intake. Looking to see who has done what with some feedback. Heard about some precat mods too- pros-cons?

Hi Moose ~

No input from me about the cat-back, but I certainly recommend replacing the throwout bearing and clutch slave cylinder while you're in there. Considering the clutch is new, both the bearing and the cylinder will now fail before the clutch does. Why go in twice?

I've also known two owners who had their driveshafts balanced while their transmission was out.

Frank
