i know one of my MAXI fuses when i touch it sometimes i can hear the relays clicking like crazy. maybe some dielectric grease could help.

Well, that's where your problem lies. Spend awhile making sure you have a good physical connection and that all wires to and from the relay are immobiliZed. Also remove the internal fuse and make sure it sits snugly inside the relay. The Maxi fuse might be lose, or the connection faulty, or the ground bad, which is causing the temporary interruption.

well the headlights still work. I plan to replace the switch with the one John has sent me as soon as it arrives. i definitely need new headlight buckets cause the screws are stripped and the other bucket i managed to bang out straight but i would like better ones. and i need a ring that holds the headlights in the bucket for the driver side. so right now i need to readjust the headlights so they point in the right direction but for now i am just happy they work. :D

well they went out again. replaced the switch with the one John T sent me. still nothing but then they started working. must be a bad wire or ground somewhere. time to replace all the wiring.
