For the last couple of days, I've noticed a different clutch pedal pressure, when I hold down the clutch for any length of time. From a normal pedal to a stiff pressure. Not sure why this is happening. Have not noticed a leak.

And you've checked your fluid reservoir level?

Year Z?

Just a guess... but the clutch slave cylinder on the side of the transmission could be binding in the bore. The dust cover boot tends to rot and let water in which rusts things. Replacements are pretty cheap.

You have bubbles and/or contaminated fluid in your clutch system. Bleed your system. Also check your master and slave cylinders like the other guys said, they might be on their way out.

What color is the fluid in your clutch master cylinder reservoir?

It should be clear/translucent. If it is black and murky, the rubber piston cup is probably deteriorated and not giving a good seal. Also, that gunk can get into the line and give you the sensation of pressure changes.

Thank you guys will do as soon as she comes back from the shop. She is getting a new plastic window and wielding the center right rail. Should be done by Friday.

The slave can look dry as a bone until you pull the boot back and fluid can litterly pour out. $15 and 1/2 hour to install.
