I have found a dealer who sells a semi automatic antenna (circa 35 - 40 years old) in original wrapping, new and unused which is completely similar to the Datsun OEM antenna of early Z's (Harada). The antenna company is from Austria. Attached some pics. The only difference: the switch for up and down is separate. May be useful in case of a broken original part.

Just wondering...

You guys actually listen to the radio?

While driving a 240?

Oh yes, of course, but exclusively roadmovie soundtracks of the early Seventies like "Vanishing Point", nothing else - of course - and it's extremely cool to handle the automatic antenna by this switch like dancing in step...while driving...

 .

Not while driving, Al.

Ginetta likes to listen to the Moody Blues while we're parked down by the lake...... 8)

I also got some hazy 70's funky music ready for my first real drive :) We're planning to make a small tv-ad(a-like) about the Z, in seventies style of course.
