Can anyone take a look at the tension rod on the frame end of a 280 for me. I'm changing my bushings today and I do not see a lock washer there. It just has the bolt against the bushing washer itself. I do not trust that as the previous owner may have left somthing off . If not ,will thread lock keep it there once it's torqued? Thanks, Jim

I don't know if it needs a lock washer, but I would put one on anyhow. What harm is there in putting on an extra washer?

FWIW - my naked 240 has a double nut at the frame end. As I recall, you should only compress the bushing to a measured setting and then lock it down. I went to aftermarket TC bushings many years ago, was provided with a width measure device to use as a gauge - I still have it in the toolbox.

I'll probably put the washer on ,just wondering if the previous owner left it off. I've found many things the PO did incorrectly so I was more curious than anything . Thanks,Jim
