 Post subject: "Lights" light comes on

when i press the break a red light that says "LIGHTS" comes on but the rear lights are all on so i am confused

Been awhile since I had my Z32 but I think the car is telling you a bulb is out. Usually the 3rd brake light is the culprit. Jim

thanks ill check it out tonight becasue as far as i know the left and right break light come one i forgot about the mid panel light

Also check the fluid levels in each reservoir (something you should do regularly anyway).

I was hoping we might see you at last weekend's buffet and get-together, but then I remembered you were working nights last time we talked.

yeah i wanted to come too... but what do you mean by checking the fluid levels in each reservoir ?? do you mean check the break, steering, trainy etc oil??

Yeah ~ make sure there's enough brake fluid in the master cylinders. Some cars are fancy enough to "know" when the fluid levels get too low.

If we can get Paul Mackin or Tom Wasney in on this discussion, they would know why your light is coming on ~ each of them has owned a garagefull of these cars over the years.

I'd go with the 3rd brake light idea. but also good to check fluids anyways.

any luck figuring out with your problem yet. The other fellows are on the right track with third brake light. make sure you post what it was once you solve it. It will help members in the future.

well it was the third break light so i got the replacement every thing is fine now i also figured out whats wrong with my head lights some times i only get high beams apparently the fuse in the kicker panel is loose for some reason and also i lost the "low" setting button on my ac pod which is some where between the seat and its really annoying me im so close to tearing up the car looking for it
