Bryan Little ~ are you out there?

OK, Bryan, I'm assembling parts to upgrade the electrical system in my 1970 240z.
I got a 280ZX Alternator and went to Radio Shack and bought the !N5402 diode you specified in your great website (DatsunZgarage.com). Believe it or not, my Radio Shack had every type of connector EXCEPT spades, so I'll have to search elsewhere, unless you have spares.
In your Site you say to make the jumpers out of "wire" ~ what gauge worked on yours?
Also, I know you spared your original fuse box by running a parallel "wire" from the alternator directly to the battery positive terminal, to handle part of the charging load. What gauge wire worked for that?
I'm about ready to do this as soon as I get your response. I even have a dry-chem fire extinguisher on hand in case this........well, you know.

Thnx/Frank

Swapping an internally regulated ZX alternator into a 240Z is one of the easiest mods you can do. It greatly stabilizes the 14.58 volts the the car is supposed to receive, puts out more amperage for moderns stereos and charges the battery more efficiently. For the performance guys it maintains solid voltage to redline.

Scroll down to the "Ignition" section for details on how to do it at http://datsunzgarage.com/engine/
