I'm going to replace a leaky valve cover gasket on my Z32 NA which requires removal of the upper plenum. I've read that eliminating the coolant lines that go through the throttle bodies and intake is recommended while the plenum is off to avoid a possible source of future coolant leaks. Has anyone here eliminated those lines, and if so, have you experienced any adverse effects in doing so (i.e. vapor lock in hot weather or freezing, sticking throttle bodies or rough starting in cold weather)? Thanks.

If you just replace those hoses with high quality rubber you should not have to worry. Those are there for a reason which I believe is idle control as it warms up.
