When I start my 280Z up (Cold) it does not idle faster? My other 280Z when I started it, it would go to about 1,500 rpms and then drop to about 800 rpms once it was warm. Anybody know what my problem migth be?

Most likely it's your "air bypass valve". It's a very easy part to change. It's right on top of the intake manifold just behind the throttle body. It has a hose into the front and out the back of it. It also has coolant lines in it's base.

The valves can stick open or shut. Yours is stuck shut and not letting air bypass the throttle plate when it is cold.
