I just discovered a You Tube tutorial entitled "43 Secrets of the SU Carburettor" by University Motors, Ltd.

The first thing I learned on the presentation was that SU stands for Skinners Union. Who knew?

Altho the instructor himself is a bit boring, drones on in a monotone, stammers, and appears unrehearsed and not well prepared for the demonstration, I found the overall information very useful. I learned a lot about the SU which I was unaware of, and it clears up some of the mystery of these carbs for me.

It's long. There are several segments. The camera angle doesn't change much (I get the feeling his assistant is amateur). Bryan Little gives a much better informal class on these carbs, even standing in my garage.

But for raw information from a hands-on, unpolished instructor, I found this FREE tutorial to be worth my time.

Thanks Frank, I'll have to check that out. Also I should buy the book from MSA that is all about the SU's as well........before my carbs start running bad.
