 hello z people...
fellow z owners my names mike and I have an 82zxt that im
ready to burn or sbc it.. im in need of a z mechanic and or someone
that can megasquirt my car.
Backround on car.. 1 owner has sat for 6 years in my garage and has been started
every month or so the whole time..
The car has always run well until a few months ago when I told it that it was going to see some road time this summer finally..
WHAT DOES IT DO?? . has a bad misfire, or what seems a misfire
when it does this it runs terrible in all rpms idle part throttle etc etc ...

BEFORE YOU BASH ME WITH RELATED INFO.. this seems very common in z cars from what ive found. lots of people have similar issues. NOBODY HAS COME OUT AND SAID WHAT CAUSES IT EXACTLY!!

WHAT I HAVE DONE IN THE LAST 2 MONTHS ...
downloaded BIBLE .. checked all pins connectors cleaned and changed almost all
including injector connectors, tps, air valve, chts, and afm..
checked and cleaned all grounds .. checked all harnesses for problems ..
PARTS REPLACED... gas tank removed and flushed, all lines flushed, new fuel filter
new fuel pressure reg, all new injectors, new intake gaskets, all new vacuum lines,
new distributor, coil .... on and on and on ..
I CANNOT FIND THE GREMLIN..
I am willing to pay to have fixed and or to megasquirt it.. it seems the wiring and ecm
in these suk.. my car is really nice, but id rather own a pos that runs instead of a
garage ornament that I dump endless amounts of money at to just stare at...

PLEASE CONTACT IF YOU CAN HELP.. im from Massachusetts .. Mike 978-804-9092..
text or email mikefuhs@yahoo.com

Hi Mike, thanks for joining us.
We here in CT have two places we trust exclusively, both in New Milford (over near the NY state line). They are both members of our Club and sponsor us:

1. Bedini Motorsports (older S30 cars)
Vinny Bedini

2. RDZ (Research & Development for the Z)
(newer ZX cars and 350/370 series)

Tell them you're our member and that we sent you.
Keep us posted about your progress. Your zx deserves to be on the road.

I'm no expert but the next thing I would do is remove the plugs and perform a compression test. Sounds like you may have a blown head gasket between cylinders or a burned or hing up valve.
