I'm betting Milford beach and that's Charles' Island at Silver Strand. Someone tried to drain it to search for Blackbeard's treasure a few decades ago. You used to be able to walk out to it on a concealed causeway at low tide; not sure if you can anymore. Someone bought the island because they thought there were millions in buried treasure at the bottom of a deep well, but then they couldn't pump enough water out of it to search ~ the sea just kept filling it back in from the bottom up. Wherever it is, that picture would have made a nice entry in our "Zs Near Water" photo contest. |

Hey Dave, It would be great if you can make our Fall Outing in Darien, CT next Saturday. I'm sure everyone would love to see the result of all of the work you have done to this car. See thread in Upcoming Events for more information. Ross |

Thanks for the invite. I was planning to make it out if possible. I need to highway test the car before then, make sure my somewhat out of balance tires aren't too bad at highway speeds. Hope to make it! Even better if i can link up with some people caravan-ing down on the Merritt pkwy. |
