Haha! Yeah, I was about to apologiZe for drooiing on those Webers, too.

Welcome, Steve. Who cleaned those up for you? The great Jim Inglese lives right here in CT and he is a master at producing show-winning Webs. He enamel-bakes them any color you want. He has spoken at one of our monthly meetings. Are yours 40s or 45s?

http://www.jiminglese.com/weberwebsite_007.htm

And why would a Z that interesting hibernate all that time? What kind of work do you think you need done to make it roadworthy again?

Hope to meet you at this weekend's Annual Fall Outing picnic, with or without the Z.

Frank T

Life and lack of garage got in the way now my son is 16 its time. Still dont have a garage so paint will have to wait till spring. My plan before the snow flys is get it running and stopping. All parts acquired for break job master cylinder, flex lines, wheel cylinders, pads and drums. Fuel system flushed and fluids drained. See even got a new set of sneakers.

Hope to meet you at this weekend's Annual Fall Outing picnic, with or without the Z.

Ahhh, real Italian Webs, not the new Spanish (Filipino) units. One of the good things about CT is that our elevation doesn't change drastically, so once you get the right jets and needles in your Webers, you're pretty much set for life unless you travel into the high country of some other states (VT/NH).

You are wiZely rebuilding the car from the ground-up. Safety first, speed later. Can't zee whatever you might have done to the radiator; is it stock? And the gearbox?

Wow, dunebuggies, Porsches, dirtbikes, 4x4 trucks and a Z. We're all gearheads in here, but you must be one of those rich kids we keep hearing about, who keep looking for places to spend their money. I like your toys.

HEY! You could help with a discussion we've been having. I zee your car is # ten thousand.. we've been saying the first 10,000 1970 cars were produced from Oct69-Sep70, and then there were about 35,000 produced from Oct70-Sep71. Your car might prove our argument. If we're correct, your car should be about a Sep/Oct 70 car?

Frank

Those pics were from 1993ish when I lived in the great republic of CA. The only toys left are a fleet of jetskis. And thats just a VW on the left. I misplaced the production tag when I painted it back in 93 im trying to find it ill post up when I do.. The radiator is stock. The current motor is an L28 with flat top pistons and large cam. I have the original l24 motor rebuild in storage gearbox I think is the 280 I also have the 240 gearbox.

Lots of work completed brakes s done clutch almost done waiting on new master cylinder. Fuel system flushed and refilled. Oil change. Coolant flush. New battery and cables and she turns over. Should have fire this week after I refurbished the header and install the Weber rack.
