My name is Jay from Fairfield. My wife, Debbie, and I have owned our 1983 280ZX Turbo 2+2 since 1984. There was a big bunch of years where it needed some repairs and I kept it garaged until our position became better suited for extraneous spending.

Fortunately, it is back at home and driveable. Not finished by any stretch, but we will be driving it up to Lime Rock for the picnic July 11, 2015.

Looking forward to meeting you people, and maybe getting some ideas about what and where my priority projects will be.

Jay

Welcome aboard!
You'll fit right in here ~ most of our cars are works in progress. I don't think any of us considers his/her Z to be "finished". There's always something......

I find it significant that you held onto the car thru the thin years, knowing you'd eventually get it back on the road. That's true love. Many of us have had to do the same thing, and some of our members are working on their disassembled Zs in their own garages as we speak. They are long-term projects, but just keeping them on the road is the reward.

Looking fwd to meeting you and your lady and zeeing your car. This is a great bunch of people, and very family-oriented. You'll be very welcome here. Z you at Lime Rock.

Welcome Jay!
I'm looking forward to seeing your Z. Mine is a '78 280 and is also a work in progress. I'll be at the Lime Rock event so be sure to look me up. I'd be happy to share with you my restoration woes. BTW - we're kind of neighbors as I live in Easton.
