Ahhhhh...!!! Your reward.

Very well done, Karl. (But you don't need me to tell you that).

What a great summer you have ahead of you! You're back in a Z. 8)

verrry nice! Are you around the Somers area? Might need to get some dents pulled. I'll have to give them a call.

Karl,

I was great to finally meet you and your car last night. What a phenomenal paint job! I couldn't find a flaw anywhere. I think you got your money's worth and more. Anyway, I hope you had a good time and feel officially indoctrinated into the club!

Thank you Ross for the kind words but the pleasure was all mine.
I was immediately at ease with the entire group and I am very glad to have picked CTZCC to join.
It seems like a great group of people if last nights attendees were any indication.
Hopefully there will be many more such experiences for all.
I was also very nice to meet the Top Forum Poster he was as helpful and friendly in person as he is on the forums.

Karl, it was a pleasure to finally meet you and zee your Z. You bring some interesting experience to the Club and I look fwd to zeeing you at as many future meetings as you can manage. We also get together for events and cruises, so your beautiful 280 will have lots of upcoming opportunities to stretch her long legs.
One of the things I enjoy most about this Club is how quickly new-joins fit in. I watched Karl several times last night and he was busily engaged in laughing, animated conversation with several new Z friends in a row, as if they were his next-door neighbors.
Everybody seemed to fall in love with your Z's new paint job. I sure did.

Thanks too you also Frank for the kind words but it is to the groups credit that I was able to talk to so many different people, I hesitate to say it but it almost had a family feel to the group which makes it easy for someone new to join in. I could not have been more impressed with a new group of people, from the minute I drove in and gestured to those there where should I go . . . .

Stunning work! That's the way it was meant to look.

What was the hardest part?

Paying for all the parts needed !

Actually it was done by a mechanic friend and he had no issues. I was concerned he might have a hard time pressing out the spindle pins and the mustache bar bushings but he has an 80 ton press and it didn't take much more then 10 tons for even the toughest one. Shows that having the right tools makes the job go smoother for sure.
