Ooooooo, that's nice.

It already looks as if you could sink your hand into it about 3".

Can't wait to zee how it looks when you've rubbed it out.

You've probably just saved yrslf about $6000 by doing it yrslf.

Yea I probably could have if I had done it.

Saved more by letting someone that knew what to do do it for sure.

Ya' know, Bryan Little did his own car in his driveway and garage, and it came out pretty darned nice. It looks a little better each time he buffs it up. He did it over a length of time, whenever he was home alone. Hung Z parts all over his yard and garage, and shot them with his own spray gun.

I always thought you had to 'bake' the paint after you applied it. All the body shops did that, with rows of heatlamps in a closed room. Bryan didn't do that and I thought it came out great.

Is yours "baked"?

File comment: Bryan's came out very well and with the money he saved he could afford to help you pay for yours!

If by baked you mean in a temp controlled modern spray booth . . . . the answer is yes . . . . by someone I have used for years for body work.

His car looks very nice to me . . . . I am not sure I could do that myself . . . . some of the mechanical stuff yes . . . . at this age I don't mind paying for what I can't do myself.

Karl,

What a unique color. Looks Carmel to me but my wife says I'm color blind. I can't wait to see it in person but please come with or without it to our meetings!

Ross actually it's a color that was available both in 1974 and 1975 color number 304 Gold Metalic it was the color of my 74' 260 Z . . . . I am planning to attend the June meeting in Old Saybrook.

I had a local shop do it and he ordered the paint to be mixed for the job.

I have a gallon extra in case we need an exact match in the future. 8)

If anyone lives near Somers CT and your looking for a great shop to deal with look up Smyth's Auto Body on Field Rd. in Somers CT. 860-749-2287
