Just checking. I had a 1973 240Z project car with my old magazine. I'm now going to restore a 1972 510 2-door. Hppe to do a RB swap down the road. Steve Epperly from ZTherapy (although he is known as a Z guy, he also has a stable of 510's and Roadsters) has offered to assist along with Dave Patten from FutoFab. Would like to make it my travel car when going to shows around the country. For now I drive a Shiro. Update: Finally got the car out of mothballs. Pretty much complete and for only $150.00! Nicest pic I could find

The CTZCC welcomes the Datsun Roadsters because they effectively opened the doors for the 240Z here in America. Bob Sharp raced both the Roadster and the Nickel-Dime cars for several successful years before inheriting the first 240Z (HLS30-00006) to beat everybody with. Altho the car ran C-Production, it routinely beat A/Prod Corvettes, Cobras and Mustangs. We have had some pretty interesting discussions about the 510s and Roadsters on these pages, and honestly, almost every one of our members has an interest in them. There are several 510s and Roadsters in our Club paddock. You can view some of them by clicking on "MEMBER RIDES" in the upper left margin of our Home Page, http://www.ctzcc.com/rides.html then scrolling down thru the hundreds of outstanding members' cars. Our "Z Guru", Vinny Bedini (who race-preps all our S30 cars) owns and drives a maxed-out 510 which has won awards at our car shows. Yep, you're welcome in here. |
