Hello all,

Not only am I new to the New Haven area, but I am also new to Z ownership. I am originally from Erie, PA, but spent the last 5 months in the greater Atlanta area for training purposes and was then sent up here to continue working. I bought my Z in the first week of January; when I accepted my job offer I drove around Erie car dealerships (mainly for S's & G's) not expecting to find anything. On the back trade-in lot, I found my soon-to-be baby buried under a foot of snow, and only recognized her from the top couple inches of the rear wheels. The 350 has been my dream car since it first came out in 2003, and I am very happy with my decision! There has been nothing done to her, yet, as my primary focus has been paying off car and student loans before I spend my money elsewhere. That being said, a re-vamped audio system is in the immediate future, along with some subtle paint accents and possibly a NISMO suspension. And an alignment, as I do have a bent tie rod (know of any reputable mechanics in the New Haven area?).

I look forward to meeting your Z family, and it is a great relief to know that so many fellow driving enthusiasts and such a vast wealth of knowledge are so close. Thank you very much for welcoming me into your community!

My Z and I got flood-stuck in Erie PA for a long weekend once..(1976?) ..all the roads out of town were under 3ft of flood water and I couldn't leave to continue my cross-country trip. :?

Welcome Chris, and thankz for bringing back some old Z-memoriez! You're here with us now, and we welcome you to the best Z Club you'll ever join for free!

The 350Z is extremely popular in the CTZCC. You will find many other 350 owners who want to compare their beloved Zs to yours, seek your advice and experiences with the car, and offer their own for your projects. The 350 is such a versatile platform it has been adapted to a great number of applications, from cool cruisers to viscous NISMO racers.

We're glad you're here, and thankz for the INTRO. You have been added to our Member list and I have sent you a Welcome letter, telling you some interesting things about the CTZCC you should know.

Please make a point of meeting with us! This weekend we have an annual event in RI to honor the memory of Colin Foote, our young member who was tragically and needlessly killed last year in a traffic accident. Many of us will attend that event this weekend. On 13July we will hold our monthly meeting, this time in Danbury. In btwn those events several of us could meet you and Z your Z if you find time.

(Sorry about the computer snag which prevented you from signing in for a short time when you first joined. There are two other New Joins waiting to do the same thing!)

Everyone, say hello to our new Z Brother Chris, from New Haven area!

Frank T

Frank, Mike,

Thanks for welcoming me into your club! I will certainly check out RDZ, if for nothing more than to be at the next club meeting, though I know at some point I will most certainly be tapping into their wealth of knowledge and expertise. I look forward to meeting many more Z members, and I'm pretty easy to spot around town with my PA plate (I hear CT charges property tax on vehicles, so I hope to keep it as PA as possible).

Zya Later!
-Chris

According to Connecticut law you have 60 days to register your car after you establish residence in Connecticut. You need to have it emissions tested before you can apply. Don’t you just hate a know it all. We won’t tell.

Uh, Frank, did you mean to say VICIOUS NISMO racers, or is there
something new I haven't heard of in the 350Z?-- such as something
liquid in their makeup that makes them FLOW more smoothly......

Everyone, say hello to our new Z Brother Chris, from New Haven area!

Okay, "Hello to our new Z Brother Chris, from New Haven area!"

Or should I say, "Buon giorno, Cristoforo, di tutta sua famiglia nuova
in il circolo dell'automobili Z." Assuming your handle is pronounced
"Chair-AH-mee." :?

All Z Best,..............................Kathy & Rick

Mike, I'm going to pretend I did not read that, even though I'm sure ignorance will get me nowhere if I ever do get pulled over. Though I have noticed that the highway patrols seem to be exceedingly generous with the 'speed of traffic' rule of thumb.

Rick & Kathy, you would be correct! I am a 4th generation Italian-American, so unfortunately I got a lot more of the American than the Italian growing up, but my father's family is originally from Sutera in Sicily.
