Not a new member to this club, but I would like to introduce you to ALL of my Z-Cars. You have seen and heard of my 1970 240Z (#3833), here are the others in my garage:

* 1970 240Z, HLS30-03833, build 5/70, sold in Honolulu, Hawaii, acquired by me in Chicago, IL from original owner, 1979. Full down-to-the-frame restoration 2006-2008. My first and Last Z, never to be sold.

* 1978 280Z, build 12/77, acquired 2001, go-fast mods: lowering springs, performance struts, poly bushings, bigger sway bars, WIDE tires, header, 3" exhaust. Corners on rails, goes like hell.

* 1987 300ZX, build 4/87, acquired from original owner summer 2006. 100% stock, 72,000 miles.

* 2003 350Z, build 11/02. Ordered by me from the factory 9/02, delivered Christmas Eve 2002. Just turned 19,000 miles last year. A great car in every respect.

Time to dust 'em off and DRIVE (almost!).

:D

WAHHH! a Fox-Four-Bravo Phantom!

Gives me impulses to load the MERS and TERS with Snakes and Napes and rocketpods. Maybe even a centerline gunpod or a 1,000 gallon AuxFuel tank.

Look Phrog! A real air weapon!
Look Rick ~ Close Air Support! Fast movers!

OooRah!

(PS ~ the Zs are nice too!)

I thought that you might like that picture Frank! That was taken at the Niagara Falls NY Air Force Base. One of my deputies is a Master Sgt in the AF Reserves and invited me out to the base on "take your boss to work day". Got to see the Thunderbirds perform up close and personal AND took a ride in a C130 Hercules!

Ever see Niagara Falls from the OPEN end of a C130???

Armed with Sidewinder and Sparrow missiles, a "Juliet" model of this great aircraft was the first to shoot down 5 MiGs in air-to-air combat over Vietnam, 1972.

John, sorry to focus on the warbird, but those saved my bacon a few times in Nam. Brings back a LOT of memories. Thanks.

Your 1970 240Z is impeccable. By the way, you never shared with us the news about what you got from that voters' choice photo contest your Z won last year?

What I won was a huge supply of Gold Eagle products: Sta-Bil, Clindo, Garage Dogg, Radiator Seal, lubricants, etc. And a very cool "Cool Rides Online" garage shirt!

And bragging rights of course. Nothing like a lil ole Jap sportscar beating out some "Merican Muscle"...

Great collection, John. Thanks for posting this. My favorite is - among all these beauties - the HLS30-03833.
Perfect car!
There is a 370 Z missing....

:D

What's even better by far than riding in a C-130 Hercules, is jumping
out of one. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. I'm so intensely
afraid of flying that I end up jumping out of the aircraft most of the time.
FWIW,.........~Rick~

I was sad when they retired the Phantom... a lot of them were relegated to live missile target drones too... :(
