does the magnaflow muffler have any sound or is it quite like stock?looking for something with a little sound.

The magnaflow muffler is somewhat louder then the stock piece. I've been complimented on how it sounds many times since I put the system in. It does not sound like the coffee can exhaust systems a lot of the ricers use today.

It's been documented via dyno results that adding a full 3" mandrel bent exhaust system including downpipe and high flow cat will add 24 hp to a stock 280zxt. Unfortunately no one manufactures this system for the 280zxt. It has to all be done custom. I was lucky to get in on a group purchase of a 3" downpipe offered by Jeff Priddy. I believe he had a batch of 12 downpipes made. His 280zxt puts out close to 700 hp from the L6 turbo motor.

All I would need is an old down pipe and a 90 degree piece of 3" stock pipe. It's on my planning board. There is so much you can do to a 280zxt, or Z car at that. That's what makes the Z so much fun. :wink:
