Hi, Z Club Members
My name is Jim and I own a 2009 370Z (Sport/Touring Model). This is my first (Z). In the past, I have owned Mazda Rx-7s. I have some karting, open wheel, autocross and club event experience.
Being my first NEW sports car purchase, I struggled with the decision. After doing considerable internet research, the (Z) always seem to come up on top of my “short list”. I looked at Mustang, Camaro, Charger, Miata, M3, Rx-8 Boxter and Cayman but, here I am with a (Z) in my driveway. I am very much in the beginning stages of understanding the car’s capabilities and quirks. I look forward to a hot lap day or two to learn more.
I have already made some modification such as cold air intake and full exhaust system. Over time, I plan many more mods. I hope to tap into the experience of the club with guidance and advice thru each project.
I look forward to meeting other members at events and chatting over the sound of cars on the track in the background. My main goal is to introduce my son to the fun and excitement of sports cars, auto racing and developing a car to its optimum potential.

Welcome Jim, both to the Z world and to CTZCC in particular. I'm curious how you heard about us and where you're located.

Well, WELCOME Jim, and welcome to our 6th 370Z!

These are awesome carz and I find it wonderful that it was your choice among many hard-core sportzcarz. I'm sure you will be happy with your selection.

Your background sounds exciting, and you are sure to have a good time in here with us! We have recently (last year) joined hands with CT Autocross and Rally Team (CART-CT) and this year appointed Bryan Little as our first Motorsports Director, so we are looking fwd to an exciting zeason in 2010.

I would love to know how you learned about us, too? We try to get the word out to all Z owners about our Club using many methods, and we like to know which ones work best. Word of mouth seems to be doing pretty well, actually!

I like the part of your introduction where you mention "...the sound of cars on the track in the background..."
Here's a photo of our Lime Rock Park Bob Sharp Day last summer, with our Executive Advisor Bob Himself Sharp giving us a class on racing, while about two doZen screaming Ferraris blasted past the Infield Chalet outside.

You're gonna like it here. We love this Club!

Naaaahhhhh, you're gonna hate it here!!! You can't believe how the
Italiani are discriminated against! It must be like immgrants from the
Old Country 100+ years ago. And if you believe THAT for one minute,
I have some nice waterfront property down in South Central Florida
you might be interested in. Oh yeah, and the bridge down in Brooklyn,
I would let that go cheap........say for a 370-Z Sport/Touring..........

But "benvenuto" anyway. You can hang out with Vinny Bedini, Bev and
John Bianchi, Dave Cerutti, Joe Plescia, John Taddonio, and ourselves
where you can be treated "come se famiglia."

Hope to meet you at the Apr 14 meeting in Saybrook, our first official
event of the year. And bring your wife or girl friend (but not both). Bev
and Kathy are usually the only "femmini" there. :(

Con i migliori saluti..........Ciao!..............Kathy & Rick
