hi all,

my name is Amado and i own a 1990 z32 which i practically brought back from the dead. i put a new motor, converted from auto to 5 spd, changed some injectors, new interior, lights and a paint job. all ths took around 2 yrs since this was my first Z and had to idea that it needed so much work.

Wow ~ you should be proud of that! When you bought the car 2 years ago, could you "picture" it the way it is now? And did the car come from New York?

I'm glad you're in the Club with this beauty. I may have actually seen this car last year at Clive's picnic at the state park, in which case that would mean I've already met you. There was a whole row of nearly perfect Z32s there that day.

How much of a hassle was it to change the engine? Did you do it yrslf or hire someone? Some of our members are beginning to play with the front suspension on these cars, to give them full camber adjustments. You'll see the discussion in our Tech Talk forum.

Anyway, WELCOME ABOARD! I got your membership application ystrdy and am preparing a welcome letter for you today. It will give you good information about your new Club and about your 336 new brothers and sisters!

Hey everybody ~ say hello to Amado!

thx for the compliments.

i'm not a mechanic, all the work was done by professionals. when i bought the car i didn't think it was going to come out this way. the engine (40k?) gave me lots of headaches, some sensors were not working and the injectors were shot. the only thing that needs to be fix on the car is the clutch for some reason is very heavy.

here's a list of mods on the car:

jwt ecu
17" rims
unorthodox light weight pulleys
aftermarket exhaust
sideskirts
stillen cold air intake
dvd/tv headunit
backup camera
50k? 5 spd tranny

and some more stuff that i'm probably forgetting

again thx for the welcoming

amado

Nice job and welcome. We find the more time spent on these cars the harder it gets to ever part from them. it's hard enough to put them away for the winter never mind not having one at all... Good luck and look forward on seeing you and your nice Z at some of the outings... :D

We have more than a dozen of these carz in the Club, and Rich at RDZ (near Danbury CT) works on them for a living.

If you list the heater problem in our TECH TALK forum, somebody probably knows why it isn't working and can tell you what to do for it.

Please ignore any of our wiZeguyZ who adviZe you to fire up your hibachi in the passenger side footwell.
