Hello All, Just joined and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Paul. I have owned my 1979 280ZX since 1980. I'm glad that I found a local group of Z people. I'm looking forward to the meet on 10/31. Thanks for having me. Here's my Z..

Hi Paul! WELCOME ABOARD! What a beautiful ZX ~ I'm pretty sure I saw it at the FDR Park during the NYZCC picnic, no? That rear spoiler sticks in my mind

You had this since new? Are you the original owner, by any chance?

Pictures of this beauty will be very welcome in our Member Rides gallery. Our WebWizzard, Jim Hagani (owner of three of these ZX cars!) will be in touch with you to open your gallery account and to receive the password you chooZe. Then you can enter shots of your baby.

Statistically, these are the most-populous carz in our Club, with more than 100 proud members claiming them. You should be able to nestle right in here among them and exchange a lot of helpful info and parts.

I'm surpriZed our ZX owners haven't formed their own club by now

Looking fwd to zeeing you again at next weekend's Annual Fall Outing.
Zee Ya there ~

Thanks, For the warm welcome and compliments. Yes that was me at FDR. My first Z event and far from my last. Didnt know these clubs exhisted until a few weeks ago and What a blast. I am really going to enjoy this. My wife on the other hand...... SHe's still rolling her eyes. I am the second owner. I got the car less than a year old (10/80) with 37k on it and a few bumps and bruises. If theres anything I can do to help or promote the club down in my neck of the woods please let me know. I got my password from Jim so Its time to get some photos up of this..... MY baby!!!

PS Any hints on getting up an avitar pic.. keeps telling my file is too big. Wish I heard that more often

 Hahaha! Well, we have both been told the same thing! I can't use my choZen avitar, either. Hey, you get what you pay for, and this is a free Club. I consider us lucky to even have such a great website and the World's Best Webmaster!

As you remember from meeting Rick and Kathy with Z#13, Rick thought nobody else cared about the 240Z anymore, so he stored his for 30 years! He never got into the internet, so he was unaware of the tremendous interest there really is! Imagine his shock and surpriZe to learn not only that we're all out here slaving to save these carz, but that we've been searching the world for HIS car for three decades!!!

Tell your wife she should ABSOLUTELY PLEASE come with you to our Annual Fall Outing picnic, where she can meet about 100 other wives who have come to understand the importance of these carz in their husbands' lives.
Clive is thinking about printing up some T shirts for the ladies which read, "Z WIDOW"

I think they would sell REALLY well!

Frank

Thanks Paul, I'm from lower Westchester cnty NY. A little about the history and mods of the car.. You asked for it. Have a seat... LOL.. I've owned the car since I was 17 and boy if it could tell stories!!!!! I did most of the work on the car B.C. (before children) A.C the car was pretty much sat covered and neglected and Little League coaching ect took presidence. Kids are pretty much grown now. Re-gained interest about 3 yrs ago so broke it out and redid the Urethane, ,shocks, added the T.B, header, 16's and new rubber. Its a little faster but like riding on rails. *K&N COLD AIR INTAKE *WEBER 60mm "BIG THROAT" THROTTLE BODY *HIGH PRESSURE FUEL REGULATOR *CENTER FORCE CLUTCH/PLATE/BEARING *ALLUMINUM FLYWHEEL *Pacesetter Header* ANSA TURBO EXHAUST
SUSPENSION:
SUSPENSION TECHNIQUES SWAY BARS & URETHANE BUSHINGS (LOWERED 1+") *TOKIKO' SPRINGS ,HP RACING SHOCKS *Cusco Upper Front OS Type Strut Bar * PANASPORT LIGHT WEIGHT ALLUMINUM WHEELS 16 x 7 *Kumho Ecsta SPT Tires 205-55/16.

Paul it was very nice to see your ZX at FDR, I am Dave, with the silver 280Z turbo. Your ZX is one of the nicest around, and I can't wait until we do a turbo swap to it. ;-)

Just had to get that in before Clive starts talking LS1's :D

Hope to meet again at Ross's on the 31st. If you would like to meet up with Sully and I, to caravan to the meet in CT this weekend, give me an email. We plan to take some great CT backroads to see the foliage and the estates.

No LS1s! I hate those motors

Paul def has a very clean zx and I really really like that rear spoiler. I have never seen it on another zx in person and hardly online. I think the turbo swap will be next in line and could be done very cost effectively if we find you a donor. There are a few of us doing turbo builds at the same time.
