Hi All,
I was referred here from HybridZ and am glad I was. My fiance an I moved into the state a little over a month ago and are slowly settling in. I have drive an '09 370Z and with a little bit of luck will have a good starting point for a project '73 240Z in the next two weeks. A friend has offered to give me his '73 that he started restoring and stalled out on. Heading over to check it out and if it all looks good will be picking it up the weekend of the 17th.

Cheers,
-Cameron

OUTSTANDING!

Hello Cameron, and WELCOME! We are always glad to meet new Z people.

We have two 370s in the Club now, so yours is the 3rd. I'm very excited to hear more about your 240Z project and will keep my fingers crossed that it happens for you.

We have more than 300 members in the Club (and 3 more just joined today), with over 500 cars among us. You should have quite a good time in here!

Welcome Cameron. It is great to see some more 370's. I think you will very much enjoy your new-found affiliation. Looking forward to meeting you. If you are available, try to make our Fall Outing on October 17th. More details on our home page. Sincerely, Ross

Frank/Ross,
Thanks for the welcome to the club. I finally spotted another 370Z on the road recently, seems we are still about in limited numbers.

Right now the plan for the 240Z is a drag build with limited street time. The research is leaning towards a LQ4 6.0l block with a set of L92 heads and intake running a 2 speed powerglide/R200 with the distant goal of a solid rear axle conversion. Only things I know about the condition of the car is that it has been sitting indoors or covered for a good bit of time, it needs floorpan work and that at one point he picked up a parts car and has a bunch of extras. Assuming the car is solid enough to start we are planning on replacing/beefing up the frame rails and welding in a 10 or 12 point cage while the interior is apart.

I may be able to squeeze in the meeting, but that is the weekend I have set aside for picking up the new car and starting the teardown. I suppose if I have to miss a Z car meetup, at least it is a pretty good reason :D

I have a million questions about local sources, can't wait to start chatting with the club.

Cheers,
-Cameron

Cameron ~ I just found your application in my computer. When I get a moment to sit back down I will type you a letter about the Club. Great to have you as a registered member!

What up.

There is a machine shop in Wallingford, E&G on Dudley road that can help you with machine work.

I can't speak of service as I haven't yet picked up my stuff.

See ya around.

Welcome Cameron, glad to see another 370Z joining up. Have fun getting to know the club and I look forward to meeting you at one of the many events we put on and/or attend.
