So I finally got around to making a forum username...

The name is Chris, and I brought my Z to my first meeting on May 13th. It was the orange/black one that needed a lot of work. :) It STILL needs a lot of work! The car is nothing too special, a '78 280z, no major mods. Bought it bone-stock in Temecula, CA 5 years ago while I was in flight school in Camp Pendleton. Drove it across the states to store in my parents' yard before I went overseas. It sat there for almost 4 years before I got out of the service and last September I started work on it. Here's a short list of what's been done so far;

-Complete suspension overhaul/painted
-Tokico shocks
-Eibach progressive springs
-Polyurethane bushings

-Rear disc brake conversion (300zx rotors, 240sx calipers)

-Mostly stock L28E
-6-3-2-1 headers
-Crane coil
-Motorsport Twice Pipes exhaust (free-flowing w/ glasspacks)
-High-flow intake (self fabricated, Autozone parts  )

-Bodywork
-BRE Spoiler
-Fiberglass ZG flares
-Xenon Urethane airdam
-Shaved rear/deleted bumpers
-Single-stage Urethane paint (Omaha Orange)
-Fender Mirrors

-Electrics
-Headlight relay harness
-MSR headlamp casings
-Updated Ign Relay
-Old Pioneer stereo 4 speakers

I think I scraped the surface there.... Still a lot more to come!

I was especially glad to meet Chris at the last meeting (OooRah!), and now we have to arrange for him to meet IDStang and GhostTanker, too. Common blood.

I enjoyed several aspects of your car, Chris ~ and appreciated that you took your time to build it over several steps, instead of changing everything at once. The only thing I noticed missing from your car was a CTZCC window decal, which I HOPE you have by now!

ALSO ~ (anybody feel free to sound off here) ~ Chris' inspection light is mounted on the driver-side wheel well, instead of the passenger side. Is that unusual or did I miss something about the 280s?

Frank
